measuring control

Especially developed for
double disk grinding machines and
centerless grinding machines

It has the following special features:

Especially developed, robust, linearly placed bearings measuring feeler, which accommodates side power during general grinding. The electronic path sensors are not affected by mechanical influences which could distort measurement results.

The path sensors have been placed on the measuring feeler working side, so that only a small adjustment must be made. A few hundredths over the tolerance limit are completely sufficient. Incorrect measurements which could for example be caused by movement in transported discs will thus be avoided.

Further Advantages:
  • Different measurements through 2 measurement feelers.
  • Variable adjustment of all movement and different times
  • Variable zero-point movement by means of offset during grinding possible.
  • Possibility of the integration of a control device for the reference grinding disc (RSK) to always keep them at zero starting position.
  • Single or average measurement as desired

Mode of Operation:

The metrunic checks each ground workpiece with both measuring feelers. If the delivery limit of the grinding workpiece is reached, a microfeed motion will be activated, and therefore, the grinding consumption used will be replaced.

The measurement function of both measurement feelers will evaluate the different readings to avoid false measurement and each measurement will also be shown on the screen as a number and as a graphic bar in relation to a zero workpiece. Furthermore, the measurements of the last 20 workpieces will be saved under "History".

The measurement signals will also be optically shown on the corresponding signal light.

The measurement signals will be filed and compared. If there is an excess in the average measurement, a microfeed delivery will be activated.

The corresponding grinding disc delivery will be carried out according to the adjusted delivery distribution or available RSK through these delivered on the corresponding grinding disc.

A delivery break can be set after each delivery motion, according to time or number of workpieces in order to process the workpieces which are still between the grinding wheels and measuring station.
